POINT BLANK: inside ‘PROLETARKA’
During the epoch of industrialization in the second half of the 19th century, the idea of the ‘micro-cities’ embedded in Russia’s big cities was born. Those ‘micro-cities’ should provide all the comfort and facilities like living space, shops, schools, medical supplies, churches and a short way to work, for the workers of factories and their families. At that time the idea and realization was regarded as modern and innovative. Those places still exists, like you see here on the example of ‘PROLETARKA’ in Tver/Russia. There are still people living in, but the factories are closed down and the condition of the buildings are in need of renovation.
