Bukhara (Uzbekistan / Central Asia), an oasis along the historic silk road.
The Labi Houz is the name of the area surrounding one of the few remaining hauz, or pond, in the city of Bukhara. The ponds acted as the city’s principal source of water.
Nowadays it’s a wonderful place where people meet each other, strolling around, chatting with each other and having a cup of tea. A delightful place to chill.
“Ночь, улица, фонарь, аптека,
Бессмысленный и тусклый свет.
Живи ещё хоть четверть века —
Всё будет так. Исхода нет.
Умрёшь — начнёшь опять сначала
И повторится всё, как встарь:
Ночь, ледяная рябь канала,
Аптека, улица, фонарь.”
“I would rather walk with a friend in the dark,
than alone in the Light”
Thanks for the walk with a friend, Lena.
All of you a happy new year!
May we all enjoy the good things
And face the bad things with a confident smile
“I’m 48 years old, not a kid anymore by any definition, but here is a universal truth that every adult at some point will realize: We are all always 17 years old, waiting for our lives to begin.”
“So, the combination of looking at lots of different people and how they react to each other and how they relate to each other and waiting for that inspiration is the thing that allows me to keep writing.”
If there is a place where I felt really grounded and down to earth.. ..than it is it the dacha of my mother in law. A place where I can really relax and get rid of my sorrows. Thank you dear Aida Stepanovna, this one is for you… …a place which makes you happy, as much as it does for me…
