POINT BLANK: COUPLES

“Is it possible, in the final analysis, for one human being to achieve perfect understanding of another?

We can invest enormous time and energy in serious efforts to know another person, but in the end, how close can we come to that person’s essence? We convince ourselves that we know the other person well, but do we really know anything important about anyone?”

(Haruki Murakami, ‘The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle’)

POINT BLANK: WATER’S EDGE

What is it that pull us to the water’s edge?

The solidarity with a place that feed us

A chance to wash down our past and start something new

POINT BLANK: TRAPPED

Heather Donahue:
“I just want to apologize to Josh’s mom, and Mike’s mom, and my mom. I am so sorry! Because it was my fault. I was the one who brought them here. I was the one that said “keep going south.” I was the one who said that we were not lost. It was my fault, because it was my project. I am so scared! I don’t know what’s out there. We are going to die out here! I am so scared!”

POINT BLANK: SHADOW ON THE WALL

Many different people crossed our ways when we were young. There were the leaders of the pack. The shiny ones and their fellowship. The loud ones who try to tell you week by week what’s hip to do. The silent ones, the sad, the inconspicuous……but there were as well the ones who just appear like shadows on the wall. But they were there…  …and they attracting my attention more then all the others, because they seem to know the way out of here…

.
“..to trade in these wings on some wheels

From your front porch to my front seat
The door’s open but the ride ain’t free

And in the lonely cool before dawn
You hear their engines rolling on
But when you get to the porch, they’re gone on the wind
So Mary, climb in
It’s a town full of losers, I’m pulling out of here to win”
